In just a few weeks, I'll be packing my bags and heading to NYC. Thanks to some amazing friends, I will be housesitting for them for the month and living rent-free.

I have about a month to find a job. Ya - I'm freaking out. I've been looking around on Craigslist, but there's really not much I can do until I get there.

So this goes out to all of you out there who've moved to NYC, or currently live in NYC - What did you do when you first moved? What should I do to find a job? And leads, hints, suggestions, openings, etc?

30 is the new 20...

I'm a huge coffee drinker. I grew up in a family who used to give me coffee in my bottle (with LOTS of milk, of course). To this day, you can walk into my parent's house and there will be coffee made - and if not, my mom will brew some for you.

It was fate that I got a job at Starbucks. Free coffee? Yes, please! I worked there for over a year and it was bliss. Many a venti coffee have graced these lips.

Well, move over venti! Starbucks now has the "trenta" size. Yes folks, trenta - like 30! It's like a Starbucks Big Glup! Since I was getting to the point where I could suck down a venti iced coffee in a matter of minutes, the trenta is just what I needed. It's not in ALL Starbucks yet, but if they have one, you should get one. Who doesn't need 30 oz of caffeine?

Well, here's a few other facts about the trenta...

Apparently it will fill your tank. :)

And - when you are done, you can put an entire bottle of wine in the cup. "I'll just have one glass of wine, I swear."

Yes, it's the gym!

If you are my friend on FB - and you should be - you are totally aware that I go to the gym - A LOT! On tour, my roommate Lindsay and I were total gym bunnies and formed TEAM SNATCHED! It started with a few others in our

journey to be super fierce for Hawaii. We did a

pretty awesome job, and looked pretty fierce, if we do say so ourselves! Here's a pic from Hawaii...

That was last summer, and I've kept up with the gym through this last tour thanks to Lindsay! But now being off of tour and back home, I've been hitting the gym on my own.

I must say that it's much harder to stay motivated without a gym partner. I always had Lindsay to make me feel guilty about not going to

the gym. And I always seem to get really good workouts when I hit the

gym with Brad. I dunno - when I go to the gym alone, I tend to wimp out, or just tire out before I get everything that I planned on done.

But, I'm still going, and trying to keep it snatched! I signed up at Planet Fitness - that's a picture of the gym up there. Its super cheap and there's tanning there, too! A 2-4-1 deal! I also can get someone in for free, so if ya wanna come be my gym partner - COME ON! Speaking of - I should probably get off of the computer and GET to the gym! :)

And we turn the page and end another chapter of our lives.

I wrapped up my tour with Sesame Street Live! a few weeks ago. After leaving them for a bit, and just doing replacement work here and there, it was crazy going back and doing a WHOLE tour from start to finish. But overall, it was a great experience.

I was supposed to be Big Bird, but right before production started, I was asked to move to Tall Understudy - meaning having to understudy 5 roles besides my own. A challenge - but I took it.

My performance director used us often and really put our understudy abilities to the test. I got to do roles I'd never done, and got to get back into some characters that seem to NEVER leave! It was hard. It was stressful. It was fun.

But now that chapter is done. I'm back home in Louisiana for a bit, and headed to NYC in July to housesit for some friends for a few weeks. Hopefully in that time, I can find a place and a job and start a new chapter in NYC. It's around that time to just get out there and start something new. A new challenge. A new adventure.

Ok ok ok, I know. I haven't touched this thing since Thanksgiving. I kinda suck at life.

But, I'm doing the tour thing - which will be coming to an end in a month, so I think it's time to focus on things a little bit and get myself prepared for the road ahead.

I'm going to start this up again. It's fun to look back and see where I've been - especially when I'm not totally sure where I'm headed next. And it's good to have a place to vent - and hopefully get some words of a advice from all of you out there on the internet.

Up in the air...

Hey everyone! I know it's been forever, and I've totally sucked at updating this. I'll try to be more diligent. Promise!

Ok, so I'm back out on the road, and over my time touring and such, I've done a GOOD amount of flying. I can just pick up a suitcase and usually tell you if it's overweight or not. I check in online and I'm part of almost every frequent flyer program. I can breeze through security, having all my stuff laid out and ready to go through the scanner. And I'm usually asleep before we even take off.

Now, I understand that some people DO NOT travel as much as I do. It's these people that drive me crazy. I mean ... who doesn't know about the liquids through security thing. You can't bring water, or organic juice for your kid, or a huge bottle of shampoo, or any other ridiculous thing through. Do you really need that on the airplane? Plan on washing your hair?

Also, there's this amazing new thing called CHOOSING YOUR SEAT! If you have a quick connection, don't pick the seat that is at the back of the plane. If you are a family, pick seats that are TOGETHER - don't expect half of the plane to move seats to accommodate your family. And if it's a tiny plane, and the stewardess needs you to switch seats to balance the plane out, don't bitch. Would you rather be sitting in the front row when the plane crashes to the ground? Come on.

Speaking of - let's talk about the stewardess. I've flown a lot, but I can bet a good amount of money that she's flown WAY more than all of us. So, listen to them. They know if your bag won't fit. You need to put your bag all the way under your seat. You need to sit down and put your seat belt on. You need to turn your phone off. It's not like they are making this up just to torture you. That's what the tiny seats and overpriced food is for. They don't want you to die, and if you are ABOUT to die, they want you to live.

So, just think before the next time you get on a plane. It's not a fucking luxury cruise. Your vacation can start AFTER you get off the plane. Follow the rules. Don't be stupid. And have a pleasant flight!

Hong Kong Fooey!

Well kids, I'm in Hong Kong!

We've been here for a few days now, and it's been pretty busy these first few days. We got EARLY Monday morning here after a VERY LONG (roughly 24 hrs or so) travel day. We left on a Saturday and arrived on Monday. So long Sunday!

Our hotel is very cool. They are promoting a deal to get hotel say and tickets to the show, so the hotel is COVERED in Sesame Street stuff. It's pretty cool! We took a picture with the hotel

manager in front of a stage display they have in the lobby. The rooms are cool - kinda tiny, but they seem huge thanks to all the MIRRORS everywhere! There are mirrors everywhere ... including one above the bed. Fun times! We've been enjoying the free breakfast in the mornings and the gym.

On Monday when we got here, we devoured the free breakfast and then went on an adventure. We we're heading across to Hong Kong Island which involved us taking a shuttle, walking to the ferry, taking that over, and then trying to find our venue. Luckily we walked in the right direction and found it.

After that, our promoter took us around the area by the venue showing us a few things. We passed through a street market - food just out and about. Meat hanging, seafood just out in coolers. I don't see how that can be healthy?

Tuesday was a little more low key. Lindsay and I went on an adventure to find the mall, and after walking around for a bit in the heat, we arrived back at our hotel! :) We then asked and took a shuttle to the mall. We hit up Starbucks - YAY! - and walked around this mall which was HUGE! We just kept walking and finding more stores ... and we basically got lost!

Yesterday was our first day back to shows. We had a rehearsal and a show last night. It went well, but my back is not happy this morning!

Well, off to breakfast here!

No Luck NOLA...

I'll start out by saying that last week was great. Brad came down for a little visit before I head back out on tour, and we had a great time. I feel like every time that he visits, it's like an episode of Green Acres. He's totally Zsa Zsa!

Well, we had a great week of rest and relaxation. We had a salon day with my mom, and we both got a 2 hr massage. And thanks to Dad, we had great breakfast every morning...

On Friday we planned to head on down to New Orleans for the night. Our friend David lives down there, so we were going to hang out with him, and enjoy a night out in the Big Easy.

Now, I don't get what people see in NOLA. Or at least the night life. Well, the gay night life.

I've been to bars ALL OVER this planet, and I can honestly say that NOLA is pretty lame.

Maybe it's because we were there on a Friday - I dunno. First off, these bars need a make over. These bars aren't Babylon from Queer as Folk. Secondly, there might have been one or two people that we thought were cute. It was mostly old men, or just tragic Louisiana gays. The music was ok - nothing to write home about. And no one talks to anyone else - they just stay in the little circle of friends that they came with. It's lamesauce, folks.

That was my second trip there in 2 weeks. I went the Friday before, and it wasn't any better. Sorry NOLA, but I can stay in Lafayette to have a lame time - and at least I know most of the people here, and it's only 15 min from my house!

Wax On, Wax Off...

We went and had a girls' day today. Brad, my mom, and I went and got our nails and eyebrows done today.

Well, it was all fine and dandy. We're getting our nails done. The lady even recognized me when we went in. All good.

Then I get my eyebrows waxed. I've gotten them done here before. I dunno what happened. She went a little wax crazy and they are a little thinner and more arched than I would like. I could probably do a fierce drag number now.

Oh well. They grow back. :)

YAY! Brad's in town! He flew in this afternoon and is visiting for the week! It's great having him here, and my parents adore him. I think they are more excited to see him than I am! :)

Well, after he napped - since sleeping through the two flights wasn't enough - we got dressed and headed out for dinner.

We went for sushi. Now, if you told me a year or two ago that we were having sushi for dinner, I would have hated you and been looking for the nearest McDonalds. Brad has opened my eyes to sushi, and I've gotten past ordering only chicken teriyaki and I totally enjoyed our sushi roll dinner!

Ok, so I'm not going around eating raw eel or octopus, but it's a step in the right direction!

We had dinner at a great sushi place here in Lafayette called Tsunami. And on Tuesdays, they

have drink specials, and most of the rolls are 25% off! Score!

Full Circle

Well, looks like we've come full circle, folks.

So, way back when, I started this blog with a little inspiration from my friend Dustin who I was touring with on Sesame Street Live. It was a great way to keep a journal of the places I went, and a great way for everyone back home to keep up with my travels.

Well, I'm hitting the road AGAIN with Sesame Street Live, so this is a perfect time to fire up the blog again! It was one of my goals for 2010, so now I'll have PLENTY to write about!

I think that it's going to be a great tour with some of my favorite people. The tour is hitting a lot of NY/NJ/PA dates - which is close to lots of friends that I usually don't see very often. It just looks like a great way to start the year!

So, tune in! I'm hoping to get pictures and videos and all that fun stuff!

Well, I guess it's time to get back on track with this blog. It's been months since I've written anything, and I kinda miss having this outlet to say stuff and get things off of my chest. It's just hard to find the time to sit down and actually write something. But I'm gonna try harder. I promise.

Well, let's see ... what's going on. Well, an update from the last few blogs on here. So, I'm still going to the gym - maybe not as often as I'd like, but still trying to make it there at least 3 or 4 times a week. I auditioned for the Nutcracker - AND GOT IT! I'm a parent in the party scene, and I'm partnering for the Arabian variation in Act 2. It's been such a fun rehearsal process, and there will be plenty of pictures to follow.

Besides that, just working and trying to look forward into 2010. I've been trying to decide what I want to do, and what the next step is. It's a scary process.

So, that's kinda where I'm at right now. Stay tuned for more to come...

Well, that was over a year ago. When I was on tour with Brad, he got me going to the gym, and I've gotten into it. I'm trying to make it to the gym about 4-5 times a week now, drinking protein shakes, and taking my vitamins. So, here's some recent pics...

First off ... You can all thank Jonathan for me blogging again. Although he might be the only one reading them...

So, that's pretty much what my To Do list looks like. I just got back from a 2 week vacation/magic convention tour with Brad, and I came home totally inspired to get off my ass and get the ball moving. I have a website to get up. I have business cards to get printed. I have a resume to write.

Then I check my Facebook.

And suddenly it's 3 AM.

It's hard being motivated to take the next step, but looking around and not knowing which direction to take that first step IN! I know where I want to go, but I just have NO IDEA how to get there. It just doesn't seem possible.

But, I am motivated. I will take little steps. Roll around if I have to. Who knows where I'll end up.

But thankfully, I have INSANELY supportive family, friends, and a boyfriend who will keep me moving.

So, here's to scratching the next thing off the list.

Ok, so dating Brad has it's consequences. Eating Subway sandwiches is one of them. Brad absolutely loves Subway. He could eat there every day, and while we toured Europe, if there was a Subway - we ate there!

I don't mind Subway, and now that I am home, I actually find myself wanting it. It's a GREAT after-gym meal ... and I actually had it today!

YES! After a many month hiatus, I've decided to fire up the old blog again! I haven't posted anything in ages, but I think it's about time to get back to it. I mean, who doesn't want to hear about the randomness that comes out of my head?

Well, just an update to get you all back on track. I'm back home in Louisiana after a 9 month European tour with Disney Live. We had a blast out there, but it's great being back home for the summer. I'll miss my tour family - but I missed my REAL family and friends here in Louisiana - so it's great to be back!

I'm in an awesome relationship with an amazing guy named Brad. We've been together for a

little over a year, and it's great! It was great having someone to share the experience of Europe with! He's living in New Jersey, so I don't get to see him all the time, but he's coming down to visit Louisiana, and we have a few trips planned over the summer. Yay for Brad!

Besides that, I'm just here in Lafayette for the summer, enjoying being in one spot for a while, and looking into what's down the road ahead!

So, keep an eye out!

Well folks, today is the day! Barack Obama is going to be sworn in as the 44th president of the United States in just about 5 hours. History will be made. It's going to be one of those moments that you can say, "I remember where I was when Barack Obama was president."

I wish him the best during his term. He's going to be under a very scrutinizing eye. Actually many of them. Millions. He's got a lot on his plate, and I only hope that he can live up to the expectations of the American people. But hey, he can't do worse that Bush! ;)

With the inauguration of the first African-American president tomorrow, we should celebrate Mr. MLK. He had a dream. I guess dreams really do come true.

(CNN) -- I have to mention tonight the headline that caught my eye on the CNN Ticker earlier today: "Porn Industry Seeks Federal Bailout."

Yeah, you heard me.

The porn industry wants a bailout.

Leave it to Hustler publisher Larry Flynt and "Girls Gone Wild" CEO Joe Francis to take the absurdity of what is going on now with our federal bailout program to a whole new level.

According to their press release, the adult entertainment industry needs $5 billion of your tax money because it, too, has been hit by the economic downturn.

They concede the $13 billion industry is in no fear of collapse, but say in this environment, why take chances?

I don't really think this requires commentary or condemnation, just thought you would enjoy it.

Now, that's where our tax money SHOULD be going! :)

New Year's Resolutions...

So, here we are at the top of 2009 and it's time to decide a New Year's Resolution. We'll I think that I'm going to have a few this year.

Write more blogs! I looked back at some past posts and I think that I need to write on here more. I need to post more pics, too. This is a great way to get things off of my mind, and it's nice to hear what other people think about the madness in my head.
Prepare for bigger and better things. I spend too much time saying that I need to get on a real show, and not enough time actually moving toward that goal. I need to start stretching and dancing more, and I need to work on the voice, too. I need to take advantage of the next 5 months of tour with these talented people to push forward to something better. Then it's audition time ... but that's another story.
The gym. Yah, Brad and I need to be a bit more strict with our workout plan. I think I need to start doing sit-ups and push-ups before shows again, and also eat a bit more healthy. McDonald's is not the best of meals ... but damn it tastes good!
Read more. It just makes me feel smarter when I read. :)
Save money. Tour's a great way to do that, and I just need to make sure I keep paying off that debt ... and not spend TOO much having fun on tour!
Be happy. It's hard at times to stay happy. I let too much get to me, and I freak out and get all pissed off. I need to handle situations properly, and keep an eye out for my well-being.

Whew, that's a lot to work on. But it's good to set goals and have a target to aim for.

I hope that everyone had a great time ringing in the new year! I spent the last moments of 2008 with some of my favorite people on tour with me, the people that keep me sane out here on the road.

I started out 2009 surrounded with people who make me laugh and smile. I was with a guy who I love and I'm glad to start this new year with him by my side.

And with a whole new year laid out in front of me, I look back on 2008. I see how much things can change in a year, and I only hope that 2009 brings with it the opportunities that 2008 did.

Sad thing is, besides the random Starbucks or two that we've run into on tour lately ... Spain and Italy are not big fans of "to-go" coffee.

And they also serve just espresso shots or little tiny cups of coffee. WTF?

We are told to treat others the way that we want to be treated. I believe that completely. So, if you want people to act professionally and like adults, they first need to be treated that way. Professionalism is not only your actions, but your environment as well. Professionalism amongst employees comes from a professional workplace.

I understand the need for rules and guidelines. We can't have everyone running amuck. But, if we are act like and be treated like the adults that we are, we don't need a hall monitor watching our every move.

I've said before, anger is contagious. So is negativity. You put it out into the world and it will come back to you.

Problems need to be seen from every angle. What seems like information and enforcing rules from one person, looks like rumors and bitching from another.

Ok, another deep breath.

What I think about things....

Since a picture is worth a thousand words, here's how I feel about things...

But, just a few words to clarify. I don't complain because I hate my job and I want to leave. I complain because I LOVE my job, and I want to enjoy doing it in an environment that allows to me to do the job that I love to the fullest.

I just wanted to be treated like everyone else. Rules are rules, and they apply to EVERYONE! I don't think rules should be enforced on some, yet bent for others.

Problems don't get solved by not talking about them. The saying goes, "The squeaky wheel gets the grease." Problems don't go away just because you don't talk about them. Not talking about things and keeping them inside only cause problems to build up, and eventually it will all come tumbling down.

Ok. Deep breath. Here's to tomorrow.

Now, I must say, Kevin and I both have some junk in the trunk - as well as other places. :) And that's exactly what they are tailored for!

They are also made of fun fabrics and they have super cute linings! They are just great!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

I've had a great Christmas. I'm here in Madrid, but we - along with other people on tour - have bought decorations, and we've made our hotel rooms mighty festive! Today, Brad and I went over to our friends Steve and Andrea's room and opened Christmas presents. And tonight, we are having a company dinner, to celebrate the season ... together.

It's times like this that make being on the road hard. I'd love to be at home with my family, and I'm sure everyone else on tour would enjoy the same. It tries your patience, and puts everyone a little on edge and people get a bit emotional.

But, we need to remember what we do have. Here on tour, I have Brad and friends that have become like a family. Sometimes we are a dysfunctional one, we are still a family.

I'd like to send that thought out to my family, too. It was hard knowing that when I called, my family wasn't together. I'm sure it was hard for them, but it was hard for me knowing that those who COULD be together, weren't. I get numerous forwards with cute graphics, reminding me to remember the gifts that we have during this holiday season. I hope that the sender takes the time to read those forwards, and think about the message that you are spreading.

I really wish that I could have been home for Christmas. More than that, I wish that everyone acknowledges the fact that they could have spent the holiday together, because some of us couldn't.

It's a good question. "Are you a good witch or a bad witch?" Glinda was smart asking that question. I mean, Dorothy just dropped a house on someone. I'd want to know who's side she was on, too.

But it's a question that we need to think about all the time. Are people using their powers for good or evil?

Now I'll admit, I'm not the most positive of people. I try to keep a smile on my face, but there are times when I'm a total bitch. Times when the world has done me wrong, and I'm going to take it out on the nearest living thing. It's ok - we all have these days.

But lately, I've realized that some people seem to be stuck in this place. A place where no matter what the situation, things aren't settled until everyone loses and all we are left with is anger and hostility. And this anger only leads to people trying to "get back" at those who have wronged them, only creating more losers and more anger.

I just wish people would redirect their energy. Instead of using your energy to get back at people, or to see how many people you can piss off - let's use that energy to do something good? Use that energy to make our environment a better place to be. I grew up hearing my parents say, "Kill them with kindness." Trust me, it works!

So you hate the direction your life has taken? Instead of using your energy to pull

everyone else down the same path, use it to change YOUR path. Instead of focusing your energy against others, turn it around and change YOURSELF!

One of my favorite quotes is "Anger is contagious." It is, and it spreads faster than the speed of light. People need to take this anger, this energy, and use it for the greater good.

I know, I sound like a motivational speaker. But although anger is contagious, so is a smile.

Now go out there, and use your powers for good ... or someone might drop a house on you, too!

Travel Day .... FROM HELL!!!

So, check this out!

Now, we all know that I HATE travel days, and I've written about some pretty horrible ones. Well, add this to the list!

So, picture it. Salamanca. 5 AM. I wake up to make it downstairs to leave at 6 AM. So, I get on the bus and we drive for about 2 or 3 hours to Madrid. So far so good.

Well, we get to the Madrid airport, and our flight is delayed a bit. No prob. We grab a bite to eat and we get on the flight.

Well, once we get to Milan, we've missed our flight. But wait, that flight was delayed a bit too! We made it with about 20 minutes to spare.

Then, it gets delayed more. Well, then we had plenty of time. Some people grab some stuff to eat. I just waited it out.

Well, wait is EXACTLY what we did. For HOURS! Our airline apparently went on strike. Our flight got delayed again and again until finally it was cancelled. Then they put us on another flight ... which was DELAYED! Food places started closing. It was insanity. We didn't know if we were going to leave the airport that night or not.

Well, Brad and some other people were on a different flight. That flight was actually leaving, so we gathered the crew and some other peeps, and sent them off while the rest of us wait it out.

We finally get on a flight! So, we are all happy and I'm looking out the window watching them put our luggage on the plane. THEN, I watch them take all the luggage OFF the plane!

Yah, so we get to Naples, and NO ONE from that flight has luggage. Oh, and neither does anyone from THE OTHER flight! NO ONE IN OUR ENTIRE CAST HAS LUGGAGE!

So, we all head to the hotel. Hungry. No luggage. 20 hrs later.

Thankfully, we got our luggage the next afternoon. And we're traveling by train the rest of Italy! :)

Staying Afloat...

The human spirit is an amazing thing. It's this need to survive that drives us day to day. This desire that pushes us through the hard times.

I know the strength of the human spirit. Just when we think that we that we can't go any further or do any more, the human spirit pushes us forward. It gives us the strength when we are at our weakest. When we are knocked down, it's what makes us get up, dust ourselves off, and try again. It's what keeps us looking forward to the future, and not back at the past.

I've seen the human spirit tested. It's relentless. No matter how far we are pushed, it pushes back. It keeps us afloat.

It is this spirit in us, and in others, that gets us through the rough times. Time ticks by and life moves forward, no matter how hard we hold on to the past. We can only move forward, knowing that tomorrow lies ahead.

It's like the dark clouds have rolled in, and it's hard to find a ray of sunshine breaking through.

So, here we are, beginning our 3rd month on tour. It's been a good 3 months but we had to see 2 of our performers go. It's sad to see people leave, and it was kinda nice that despite the issues that people might have had with each other, we all put those aside to give these guys a great farewell.

Well, now they have left, and things are falling back into place. And, although I'll be the first person to say that we DON'T have to always hang out as a cast, I hate to see us so separated.

Everyone seems to have found that one person they hang out with and that's it. And maybe I'm making it out to be more than it is, but it makes everyone seem very secretive. Like walls have been put up. The whole "You can't sit with us!" feeling.

I dunno. I found it nice that we could all go to dinner and put everything aside and just have a nice meal. Now, I'm not asking for that to happen every night. Good God, I'd probably kill someone. Let's hope that some fresh faces will mix things up.

So, here I am, across the Atlanic while America changes. Barack Obama has been elected to be our next president. The first African-American to be a President. Big changes.

I'll admit, I wasn't REALLY into the election race. I wasn't totally up on all the topics. But I did watch the debates. I watched the news.

I just didn't trust McCain. As a debater, he and Palin sucked. I'd been forced to watch high school students debate, and they did a better job than these two. My gut instinct was that these two were shady. The thought of these two running the country just scared me - like they had a hidden agenda.

But, no need to worry. Our new president is an advocate for change - which is exactly what this country needs. I know that not everyone will like him, and I'm pretty sure that I won't like everything that he will do. No one ever likes EVERYTHING the president does. But we aren't in a good place. And it's time to shake things up. A time for first times.

Along with all that, I'm gonna get back to this blog, and write more. It's time for change.

So, sorry that it's been a while since I've blogged. I've just been having too much fun out here on tour. Actually, I've been too busy travelling from city to city and doing shows all the time to sit and write anything.

But, here I am between shows, and we're all on our laptops since the hotel doesn't have internet, so I decided to write a little blog.

And, speaking of computers and such, we had quite the week with electronics. It all started with us trying to watch Mean Girls. Well, it was a foreign DVD, so we'd have to change the settings on our computer. Well, we put it in Brad's computer, but her didn't want to change the settings. Then we tried mine. I didn't want to change the settings either, so I tried to eject the DVD, and it gets stuck in my disc drive. Well, I finally get it out. But Brad tries to watch another DVD, and his computer won't read an DVD's. Well, after a few hours of rese

arch, he got everything to work again.

Then, a few days after that, we go to the gym. While Andrea is on the treadmill, she drops her iPod and accidentally kicks it INTO the treadmill. We had to get some gym personnel to take apart the treadmill and get her iPod out.

Now, Brad's been having trouble with this new internet modem he bought for his computer, and he thinks that he might have a virus on his computer, too.

So, besides all that, we've been having a ball out here. Just doing shows and trying to do some

sightseeing along the way.

Leaving Las Palmas...

Well, it's time to pack our bags and get this tour on the road ... literally! We're leaving Las Palmas tomorrow and heading to Malaga. After 3 weeks here, I'm looking forward to being in a different city and see some different things.

Las Palmas was a fun place. We found some good restaurants, some cute clothes, and a nice beach. We had some great crowds at the shows - although the venue was CRAZY hot, and the cast felt like they were melting the whole time. Our locals were really great, and I'll miss them next week when some new person is trying to get me into my costume.

So, here's to Las Palmas - it was fun, but it's time to hit the road!

Hello again from Las Palmas! We've been doing just fine out here. We opened Thursday to a great crowd, and the crowds were great all weekend! The audiences here are really responsive and it's been great. We've been working hard, getting the show back on its feet after our summer off, but it's looking great!

Here's a pic from a little get-together that we had after our opening night. Brad made us shirts that said "Illusionist Assistant - Off Duty!" - so we all wore them down to the hotel bar. Cute huh?

Besides that, we've pretty much just been doing shows, going to the gym, eating and sleeping! We found a cute little Japanese place called Zen and some other cute places to eat. We spent a little time at the pool yesterday, but for the most part ... nothing too exciting.

Today we start back up with shows and that'll keep us pretty busy for the week. Then we head to mainland Spain - and who knows what's in store!

One week down ....

Well, as you can see, we made it safely to the Canary Islands! Once we got here, we jumped straight into rehearsals - teaching some new people the show, training some people in new roles, and giving the rest of us a brush up on all that we've forgotten over the summer.

Rehearsals went well, with the expected mistakes, and our first run back in costume was a TRAGEDY! But, that's why we have a bunch more runs before we open! ;)

So, today was our first day off, so we all headed down to the beach. Well, the beach was quite the adventure. It was hot as all hell out there, so we got umbrellas and chairs and set up camp.

Well, in fine European fashion, ladies were topless ALL OVER the place. And why do people who SHOULDN'T be going around topless let it all hang out? Well, if that wasn't enough, Brad and I took a walk down to the nude section of the beach. EEK! I think we are both going to have bad dreams tonight.

As usual, I got a little burnt, and I think that everyone who went got a little color. But it's back to the grind tomorrow!

Hey everyone! Well, after MANY MANY hours of traveling - I made it to Spain! I left Louisiana a day early to beat the hurricane, and then the rest of the trip was chock full of layovers and waiting. That picture pretty much sums up that travel day - or days!

But, we're here, and things are ok. The hotel is kinda tiny, and the food is expensive. But, we here, and we'll make the best of it.

Well, that's about it for now. We start rehearsals this afternoon, so I might try to grab some time by the pool first! I hope everyone at home in Louisiana is ok and safe, and talk to you all soon!

So, here I am, starting up the blog again for what it was made for in the first place.

That's right kids, I'm headed BACK on tour. I did the short stint in the spring, but now I'm headed for about 7 or 8 months in Europe with Disney Live!

I'm excited to see Europe and join my magic family again. I'm looking forward to being with Brad that whole time, and have him there to experience everything.

But it's not a totally happy goodbye.

I'm sure everyone knows that there is a huge ugly hurricane headed straight for Louisiana. Well, it's headed straight for my hometown. I had to leave town a day early to beat it.

I didn't get to give everyone a proper goodbye. Everyone was running around, worrying more on getting me OUT of town.

I just want to let all my friends back there that I love them, and I'll miss them. But, as always, I'll be back to visit - and I'm sure they'll be there at the bar to join me for a drink.

To my family - I'll miss you guys terribly. It wasn't til I was driving away did I realize that I won't see you guys for a few months. I love you guys, and I'll be thinking about you guys all the time.

And to everyone - I'm watching that hurricane. I'm worried about all of you, so keep me in the loop as to what's going on!

I'm getting one of these! My old computer has been suffering for a while now, and the other night it told me it was tme to let it rest. The battery barely holds a charge, so it's been living off of the power cord forever. Well, the power cord was starting to die, and the other night it sparked and smoked a bit. Yah - time to die.

So, I made a deal with my parents, and they are helping me to get a lovely Macbook! I've heard nothing but great things about Macs, so I'm hoping that this will be a lovely relationship.

So, I'm here in NJ visitng the boyfriend, and I'm having a ball!

We've been going to the gym a bunch. See - he got me going to the gym when we were on tour, and I was doing a little working out while I was at home. Well, he got me a week membership to Bally's and we've been hitting the gym while I'm here!

Well, it's been lots of fun seeing the cast of characters that Brad would always text and tell me about. We also had a training session with a friend of his who is a personal trainer. It was pretty intense, but I DEFINATELY felt it the next day, and gave us some new workout ideas.

Now, speaking of trainers and new workout ideas, there is this one trainer ... and he's HOT! He looks like he stepped out of a Sean Cody video. Well, he seems to always be there when we go, and the past few times he's been working out before his shift in a wife beater. YUM! And a double YUM from Brad! He kinda looks like this guy...

So, yesterday I flew up to NJ to see my boyfriend Brad. I'm up here for the week, and I'm so glad to be up here! It's a week little vacation with my boy -PLUS- he's about 20 min from NYC -PLUS- it's NYCPride this weekend! FUN TIMES!

Now, one thing that is NOT fun times is baggage claim. First of all, I always worry that my bag will not come around on the the carousel. It's happened a few times, so I always get a little nervous.

But what REALLY pisses me off is all the other people getting their bags. I usually try to get a place where there are not too many people standing cause I don't want to whack someone with my heavy bag, and it's easier to get to my bag when it comes around. So why do people always come RIGHT next to me? Can't you see I'm standing here? Don't you know that I'm going to hit you with my bag trying to get it off of the carousel?

Then, I also hate the people that have NO idea what their bags look like. They have to check EVERY bag - pick it up, turn it over, read the tags - and then realize that it is not theirs. This usually causes them to move a few feet around the carousel, bumping into people - and most of the time, they miss their ACTUAL bag in the process.

So, now that that's off my chest, back to enjoying my time with Brad! :)

But, my friend Jeff came to the rescue and helped me get a job at the Hilton Lafayette. I'm working as a banquet server, and it's a pretty fun job. And, I'm wearing a cute little outfit and I'm working inside for the summer!

Hey everyone! Just wanted to send a shout from Dubai! Things are going great out here. Dubai seems to have everyone satisfied so far. The hotel is great, the food is great, the weather is great ... it's just GREAT!

The travel day here was not so great. If you read any of my posts from travel days from my Sesame days - you know that I hate travel days. Well, this one ranks up there. A simple flight turned into a big deal - driving to the wrong terminal, luggage weight issuses, LOTS of x-raying the bags, customs trouble, late vans, etc. Yah, it was a long day! Good thing the hotel was nice!

Also, the other day I almost got hit by a car. Well, I wasn't really paying attention, and what I thought was just a parking lot acutally had traffic in it, and I almost got hit. Now Brad treats me like a little kid before I cross the street. It's hilarious. Speaking of ... here's a pic of him and I!

So, besides that ... Hope all is well back in the US! See ya in a few weeks!

So, we've been here for about 3 weeks now. This past week we switched hotels and moved to one closer to the airport. This hotel had a pool, bar, and casino ... hence why we moved!

It's been a great place to spend our little vacation. We've sat out by the pool (and I got a little burnt, but it's all better now). We danced at the disco one night, and stunned everyone with our dirty American dancing. We hit the gym and enjoyed the sauna and steam room.

Overall, we've had a blast. But honestly ... I'm over Egypt. The pyramids were cool and all, but after that, there isn't much to do here. I'm ready for a change of scenery.

Thankfully, we head to Dubai tomorrow! We'll be there for 3 weeks, then it's back home for a few months before the European tour starts! :)

So, farewell Egypt. It's been fun!

Hey everyone! Just wanted to put up a few pics and let you all know that things here in Egpyt are going great.

We finished our run here, and we are on a little 2 week vacation while the show gets moved to Dubai. The shows were great. It was kinda crazy having only about 3 days of rehearsal and just jumping in the show - but I did it, and I got some pretty nice compliments, too.

As you can see, we went to the pyramids. We rode camels, saw the pyramids -did it all! I also got a HELLA sunburn. OUCH! But, it's ok now. Note to self - wear sunscreen in the desert!

So, we are just relaxing for the next two weeks, then we are off to Dubai. Then I'll be headed home for a bit before the European tour starts! WOO HOO!

So, here I am in Egypt! Everything is going great! For those of you who didn't know, I'm out on tour playing Goofy in Disney Live's "Mickey's Magic Show." I'm having a ball out here. After a few quick days of rehearsal, I did my first show yesterday. All went well, and everyone's telling me what a great job I'm doing. WOO HOO!

Egypt is great, too. The traffic is insane. No one pays any attention to lines on the road or anything. My blood pressure goes through the roof everytime! Besides that, it's all good here. We went to the pyramids last night to see a light show. It was cool, but it wasn't as impressive as I thought. The Sphinx seemed small - but we are going back Saturday to get a closer look!

Besides that, all is good. Been trying to eat healthy and been going to the gym. After my first time in the gym, my arms hurt SO MUCH! It was so bad that it woke me up in the middle of the night. But - no pain, no gain! HAHA!

So, hope all is well on your side of the world, and I'll get some pics up ASAP!

CRAZY NO FOAM LADY!!!

Ok, so working at Starbucks, we get some pretty crazy people that come in. I mean, caffeine does some crazy things to people, and it's even crazier when they don't have ENOUGH coffee in their systems.

Well, today was crazy people day. I dunno what was wrong with people ... but they were highly irritable!

So, this one lady was the worst. She came through the drive thru and wanted some silly drink - 4 shots, sugar free, extra hot, no foam - I hate people like that. Insanely picky.

Anyway, she comes inside and says that there is foam on it. She then goes into detail how she likes NO FOAM at all. Like she's allergic to foam, or has some kinda of phobia. So, I tell the girl making the drink that I'll take over and make it. So, I put no foam. I even scoop out any foamlike madness that might be in it. Well since she is watching me, she asks for me to scoop it again. I do, and hand it to her.

Well, she goes to her car, then comes BACK in. She says that she's scooped out foam with her napkin, and now wants a spoon so she can scoop out the non existent foam. Crazy.

She then goes to her car ... takes out her camera and takes a picture of the store ... does some more crazy lady stuff ... and leaves.

So, we all look at each other, giggle, and shake it off. Well, a few minutes later, here she is again, pulling into the parking lot.

She comes in ... the drink is not right, blah blah blah. So, I remake it. I don't even make foam with the milk - which is totally wrong. But, she wants no foam - she's getting no foam. So, I take all measures to make sure there is no foam. I even scoop out any foamlike substance in the drink, and hand it to her. She goes to the condiment bar ...

AND WALKS BACK TO ASK FOR ANOTHER SPOON! ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?!?

Oh crazy no foam lady. We made fun of you all day! Thanks for the laughs!

Well, yesterday was a crazy day on the road! On my way to work, I got stopped by a state trooper for not having my seat belt on. Well, it's all good, I apologize, give him my license, blah blah blah. Well, then he asks for insurance and registration. HA! I open my glove comparment and about 5 of the GAYEST CD's fall out - Kelly Clarkson, Rhianna, Cher, Rupaul, and some other mix CD! Well, besides that, I can't find anything. I'm fumbling through papers, and finally I find the registration - and an EXPIRED insurance card. He lets me off with a ticket for the seatbelt, and that's all ... thank God!

Then, on my way HOME, I'm just driving along, and I look in my rearview mirror to find this...

Oh, that's right. There was a man BRUSHING HIS TEETH in the truck behind me. And he was just going at it, too! He then spit into a Coke can. It was priceless!

A morning in hell...

Ok, life sucked this morning.

So, after a wonderful day at work yesterday, I opened again today. Well, one of the people that were supposed to open didn't show up, so I gave her a call.

Well, she's having some family issues at the moment, and our manager told her that she didn't have to worry, that we'd get it all taken care of.

Well, my manager covered her shift yesterday, but falied to do it for the shift this morning. So, we are a person short! Wee.

Well, I call my manager this morning to see what's up - and her phone goes straight to voicemail. I hate this. I mean, she NEVER seems to answer the phone. What if I was in an accident? Or the store had been broken into? Lady needs to answer her damn phone. I mean - YOU MANAGE A FREAKIN' STARBUCKS!

So, the day begins - and things are ok.

Until the rush hits.

Now we get a rush every morning, and with 3 people, it's pretty hard. Today was insane! Doing that a person short was HELL, not to mention the fact people were being RIDICULOUS this morning. Like a lady coming in RIGHT in the middle of a rush and wanting a coffee traveler and 15 pastries. COME ON!

I tried the best I could. I just hate when people can see that I am insanely frustrated, that there are drinks lined up, that we are doing the best we can ... and they just STARE me down, like it's gonna make things move faster. UGH!

Anyway, my manager decides to call at 9. I called her at 5 this morning. She asks why I didn't try calling anyone. I CALLED YOU BITCH! The person RESPONSIBLE for this madness!

Well, I didn't talk to her. I called in one of the other shifts and he came over to help. He pretty much told her that she screwed me over this morning.

I, on the other hand, called our district manager and told her about this madness. She agreed with me whole heartedly.

And, after being in hell ... we still did a good job this morning, seeing about a person a minute. Take that!

So, today was a great day.

Lucky for me, my manager scheduled her and I to open the store today. So that meant that I could be just a barista for the day - no having to be in charge or anything!

So, I was in the drive thru ALL DAY! And ya know what? I don't see why the other people that work there complain that they are always in the drive thru. I had a GREAT day!

All I did was stand there, take orders, and talk to people at the window. ALL 8 HOURS of my shift. I mean, what's so difficult about that?

And, I must brag and say that I was upselling the SHIT out of stuff today. I rock!

I need more days like that!

You know, when I flip through the channels and see it on the Disney channel ... I can't help myself. Well, that kinda goes for all Disney channel shows.

And hell, she's cute. That wig ... it's total drag queen!

So, Jon got me the CD because we both have some major love for this girl. I love that "See You Again" song - and actually, some of the other songs are pretty catchy, too!

I just got a call today from my performance director that Dubai ... has been posponed!

So, I won't be going out on tour til the end of April...

TO CAIRO, EGYPT!

I know, exciting! So, I'll stay at the 'Bux a little longer.

I'M GOING BACK ON TOUR! Ya, that's right folks. I've signed a contract, and I'll be going back on tour starting mid March.

And I'll be reliving the past- cause this time it's DISNEY LIVE! I'll be playing Goofy - and I'm way excited!

It's an internatonal tour, and the first stop is Dubai! WOW!

It's gonna be awesome!

So, I'm gonna fire this bad puppy back up, post some pics and whatnot, and it'll be great!

Happy New Year everyone! I hope that 2008 has started on a good note for everyone.

I'm glad that 2008 is here. I'm planning on starting with a clean slate, and making this year a great one!

As for resloutions, I'm planning on getting back in shape. Ya, everyone says I am skinny, but I want to get back to eating a bit healthier and get active again. No more sitting on the couch checking my Myspace!
